Dermal Fillers hydrate skin, plump out stubborn lines, and add more volume where there is loss. There are different types of dermal fillers with different consistencies. Often the difference between a good treatment and a truly outstanding treatment is simply the discernment to choose the right quantity of the right dermal filler for the desired affect.
Using dermal fillers to balance the face, often requires more than one injection site. Common areas we treat include temples, cheeks, under eye hollows, noses, lips, nasolabial line, mouth frown, chin and jawline. Did you know that dermal fillers are also used in earlobes, hands, soles of feet (for ladies wearing high heels), buttock, labia and penile girth enlargement. We also use special fillers to help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Doctor Bianca only uses the safest, most reputable filler brands. She predominantly uses dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a water loving molecule that is very similar to what is in the skin already. These types of fillers can be dissolved with a medication called hyaluronidase. The clinic stocks Restylane, Teosyal and select Juvederm hyaluronic acid fillers. In patients with advanced skin ageing or those who request longer lasting fillers, a biostimulator filler may be suggested. Examples of these are Sculptra (not legally available in South Africa), Ellanse and Radiesse. Dr Bianca uses Ellanse which is completely bioresorbable and made of poly-e-caprolactone.
